I gotta admit it, watching college soccer can be way more interesting then "Pro", World Cup and Olympic soccer. I subscribed to my alma mater's website (Go Akron U Zips!) so I could view their soccer games, and other than the very questionable camera work, I found it to be VERY entertaining! Probably the most refreshing thing to not see was the "oh he trippped me so I'm going to roll around on the ground for a while" antics. Sure, players got hurt and fell down, but they didn't appear to be "milking it" in an attempt to coerce a card out of a referee.
The game, Akron (#1 in the country) vs. Buffalo was VERY one-sided with Buffalo scoring no goals, no "Shots-on-goal" and no corner kicks, but watching the skill with which the Akron players handled the ball was awe inspiring. This is about the fourth or fifth game I have watched over the internet, and while the presentation was not the best in all the matches, at least the games are entertaining. I just wish the rest of the sportsworld, including you CBSSportsline, would pay a little more attention to college soccer. Soccer is up and coming here in the USA, and the media outlets need to get on the bandwagon!
